About Kyle Runge
Theologically - I grew up in a United Methodist church reading the Bible only occasionally but paying attention in Service, Sunday School, and other various conferences enough that I was familiar with the general themes of scripture, and (although not devoted in a personal way) was convinced of the Bible's large scale authority and historicity. It wasn't till my college years that I sat down and, dissatisfied with the hollowness of a lot of my life experiences, read through Romans and had my eyes opened to the idea that the Bible is not unfamiliar with my own nature and heart even here in the middle of the modern era.
Practically - I now work as a CPA in the Greater Cincinnati Tri-State area where I live with my wife, our 3 young daughters, and a dog. We're active in our church and several other local community organizations (when I'm not trying to fix something in our house).
Basic Christian Beliefs
There is only one true God who is nonetheless made up of three distinct persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit).
God alone is Self-Existent and Eternal and has supernaturally created everything else by the word of His power for His purposes and pleasure.
Man, through Adam (the first of our kind), has destroyed the original "very good" relationship he had with God by breaking His law, and rejecting His authority to rule over us.
God sent his Son, Jesus, to live a perfect life and die an unearned death on our behalf so that His righteousness could be credited to our account and the penalty of our Sin paid, thus offering a way that is both perfectly Just and perfectly Merciful to restore us to right relationship with Himself if we will accept His sacrifice for us and acknowledge Him as Lord of our lives.
